About ramblers
Our unique club has no definite geographical limits. Ramblers are based in Trentham, Wellington, New Zealand.
We draw our members from all over the country, and our club rules are safety rules only. Our local members meet on a regular basis, (Tuesdays, 7.30-9.30pm at the Trentham School Hall). We have members as far a field as Auckland, Hamilton, Kapiti, Wanganui, Waipukurau and Masterton.
Our more remote members are kept in contact by newsletter and their dancing needs catered for by email, phone, video and soon video conferencing.
Our philosophy is to promote anything to do with Rock 'n' Roll in a fun and positive way.
We teach dancing, coach, and train dancers. We meet at functions all over NZ and organise the odd club barbeque and other social gatherings.
Locally, we are a select group of relaxed individuals who thoroughly enjoy anything to do with Rock 'n' Roll, from learner lessons to competition level and social outings, which we have scheduled often.
We cater for all.
Ramblers Rock 'n' Roll Club was affiliated to the New Zealand Amateur Rock 'n' Roll Association in February 2000, and has been doing well ever since.
Although we are small, this makes us even more unique, and we have been successful at competition level at the New Zealand Rock 'n' Roll Nationals and other competitions.
